Display By Design Are Expanding

Display By Design are delighted to share the news that we have a brand new factory with cutting edge machinery. For the last two years the new 40,000sq.ft. building has been under development on site in Wigston, Leicester.

The £800,000 project was given the go ahead by managing director, Ben Winfield in 2014 as part of an expansion plan. Display By Design have increased in size due to a rise in demand for our creative practices. The new factory will play host to numerous services that we offer such as acrylic fabrication, modern joinery, laser cutting, membrane pressing and vinyl wrapping.

As with our other factory, all of our factory waste is to be re-cycled and used to heat the factory to aid our environmental responsibilities.

Display By Design are confident that the new facility will provide a solid foundation for our continued expansion.

Topshop – Topman

We produced a number of High Gloss Black Vinyl wrapped wall panels for a number of Topshop/Topman staircase and escalator areas.

EE

Display by Design produced all of the worktops for EE, using Kydex. We membrane pressed the worktops using our deep chamber press which allowed us to press the 50mm worktops. Our customer was extremely pleased with the item that we produced.

B&M

Working initially with International Greeting on a concept to be easily installed by B&M store staff Display By Design won the contract with B&M based on the design, cost and proven ability to provide a fully comprehensive service to enable the launch of the greeting card displays across B&M estate. Once we had initially rolled out over 300 units in a very short space of time, Display By Design serviced B&M with the opening of their new stores and then an additional order of display to increase the footage of their greeting card offering.

Toms

Selfridges Shop in Shop. Taken from our client’s 3D render and sizes we developed the unit to be manufactured to their budget and in line with the brand standards. We used softwood and processed the timber through numerous process to look like reclaimed timber. The project was all manufactured in-house and after this project we worked with our client to manufacture a number of store roll outs for other areas and retailer.

Paper Destiny

Display By Design took the original brief from Schurman Retail, then designed the multiple concept stores. Once Schurman retail had agreed on the proposal, we built a complete mock shop in our factory and merchandised all of the displays. Our client came over from the States to review and sign off. We then commenced with the manufacturing and delivering to America and Canada.

Jolie Papier

Display By Design worked from the initial design concept through to manufacture and installation of the Jolie Papier brand. We designed and manufactured all of the shopfitting fixtures and displays. Jolie Papier has two stores, one in Bluewater and one in Newcastle.

Waitrose

Working with Waitrose Display By Design provide concepts through to delivery of various displays. We was briefed to look at their gift wrap bay. Display By Design came up with a concept that enabled Waitrose to display more product in the same space as before and also keep the display looking it’s best at all times even once it had been shopped hard by customers. With the display incorporating powder coated steel, PETG it was designed to last. This was a national launch rolling back in to all stores and new store that are to open.
